Head of People

Serpentine is looking for a Head of People to implement the People strategy to ensure Serpentine achieves its organisational goals while delivering excellence across the full range of People Operations, which include internal communications, engagement and EDI. You will act as coach and trusted advisor to Serpentine's senior leadership, as well as lead the ongoing implementation of our new safeguarding policy, acting as designated safeguarding lead for the organisation.
Key experience and skills:
- Extensive HR experience in a leadership capacity managing a HR function and motivating a team to provide an effective and professional HR service.
- CIPD level 7 qualification or equivalent experience.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; demonstrated experience and comfort managing difficult situations and a wide range of workplace situations and behaviours.
- Successful track record in providing effective HR advice to senior managers including developing HR strategy, driving organisational change, building trust among staff at all levels, and fostering a positive workplace culture through emotional intelligence and driving employee engagement.
Desirable:
- Experience in cultural or non-profit organisations, and/or the arts.
