Your Role

As an Account Manager, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and expanding our customer relationships. Reporting to the Head of Business Development, you'll be responsible for managing existing system user accounts, supporting insurer relationships at an operational level, and ensuring clients maximise the value of their partnership with Ignite.

You will also have commercial responsibilities, including revenue retention, managing retained development days, and identifying opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and new business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Client Relationship & Account Management

  • Act as the primary point of contact for assigned system user accounts, ensuring a high level of client satisfaction.
  • Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders within brokers, MGAs, and insurers.
  • Manage operational interactions with insurers and support insurer integrations.
  • Gather and relay client feedback to internal teams to enhance the Ignite platform.
  • Align client requirements with Ignite's system capabilities, helping to prioritise development efforts.

Revenue Growth & Account Expansion

  • Own revenue targets related to account retention, upsells, and cross-sell opportunities.
  • Proactively manage retained development days, ensuring clients maximise their investment in the platform.
  • Identify opportunities for additional services, upgrades, and increased platform usage.
  • New Business Support & Market Engagement
  • Contribute to new business development through referrals, lead generation, and upselling to existing accounts.
  • Attend industry conferences and networking events to represent Ignite and support business growth.
  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams on cross-selling initiatives and promotional activities.

Internal Collaboration & Process Improvement

  • Work closely with the product, support, and technical teams to resolve client issues and enhance service delivery.
  • Support the onboarding process for new clients to ensure a smooth transition.
  • Provide insights to internal teams on customer needs, market trends, and competitive positioning.

Qualifications

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience in account management, customer success, or business development.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders.
  • Commercial awareness and confidence in managing revenue targets and upsell opportunities.
  • Ability to understand and align client requirements with business capabilities.
  • Highly organised with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable working independently while collaborating effectively across teams.
  • Willingness to travel for client meetings and industry events.
  • Nice to Have
  • Experience within the insurance industry (personal lines preferred but not required).
  • Knowledge of policy administration systems or insurance technology solutions.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools and data-driven account management.
