Commercial Account Manager - UK&I Midmarket

Your Role

As a Commercial Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of midmarket customers across the UK & Ireland, ensuring strong client relationships and revenue growth. This role includes an On-Target Earnings (OTE) structure, rewarding success in qualifying, managing, and closing sales opportunities.

Your focus will be on driving new business, expanding existing accounts, and leveraging key partner relationships to enhance customer solutions. You will work closely with internal sales teams, partners, and marketing to maximize commercial success in the midmarket segment. A key requirement of this role is excelling in opportunity qualification, ensuring that engagements align with strategic business goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Account Management: Manage a portfolio of UK&I midmarket customers, building and maintaining long-term strategic relationships.
  • Partner Collaboration: Work closely with key technology partners to create joint business opportunities, leverage co-selling initiatives, and enhance customer value.
  • Opportunity Qualification & Sales Growth: Excel in qualifying inbound and outbound sales opportunities, ensuring focus on high-value prospects and driving revenue growth.
  • Customer Engagement: Act as a trusted advisor, conducting regular business reviews to assess client needs, develop account plans, and drive customer satisfaction.
  • New Business & Cross-Selling: Identify and execute new business, upsell, and cross-sell opportunities, ensuring alignment with customer IT and infrastructure requirements.
  • Sales Execution: Collaborate with internal sales teams, marketing, and sales engineers to drive deals through the pipeline and successfully close opportunities.
  • CRM & Reporting: Maintain accurate customer records in Salesforce.com, ensuring visibility into pipeline progression and account performance.
  • Internal & External Stakeholder Management: Work across multiple internal departments and external partners to deliver seamless customer experiences and revenue-driving initiatives.

What You'll Need

  • Proven experience in B2B account management, within IT, Cloud, Data Centre, Telecom, or Managed Services in the UK&I midmarket sector preferred but not critical.
  • Excellent qualification skills, with the ability to assess, prioritize, and progress opportunities effectively.
  • Strong partner engagement experience, working with key vendors and technology providers to drive joint sales success.
  • A consultative sales approach, capable of uncovering customer needs and aligning tailored solutions.
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts efficiently while maintaining high customer satisfaction levels.
  • Commercially driven mindset, with a focus on achieving sales targets and OTE performance goals.
  • Proficiency with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce.com) for pipeline management and reporting.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
