Through our position as part of the Marketbridge, we are also able to offer clients specialist services across design, web development, video and animation, ABM and marketing tech, among others. Ultimately, we develop bespoke programmes that are rooted in our clients' goals.

Role

This is an exciting opportunity to manage client accounts at a fast-paced agency, delivering work with purpose. We're looking for someone with genuine enthusiasm and passion for the work we do here, so we'll want to hear why working in science and engineering is exciting to you. Prior experience in this space is beneficial but not essential, as long as a keen interest is there.

As part of your day-to-day responsibilities, you'll play a crucial role in managing the delivery of high quality PR and integrated campaigns for our client base. This means being the central linchpin who can seamlessly coordinate multiple teams (both internal and external) to keep campaigns on track and delivered to the highest quality, and making sure the client is kept informed every step of the way.

As well as excellent project management skills and a good understanding of communications principles, you should also be able to deliver on a tactical level. We're very open to what skills you might offer on this front, so whether you're a great media pitcher, a social media expert, SEO specialist, or a brilliant copywriter, we'd love to hear from you.

You will also have the opportunity to be a direct line manager for more junior members of the team, and to take on a role in one of our internal workstreams such as those working to maximise our community impact or enhance the team's wellbeing.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Inputting into creative concepts and strategy development for PR campaigns
  • Project management responsibility for PR campaigns, including stablishing and managing appropriate campaign timelines
  • Becoming a trusted day-to-day contact for clients on PR campaigns, advising on channels and tactics, managing approvals and leading progress calls and meetings
  • Becoming an internal champion for client objectives and messaging in order to support the wider team to deliver work that perfectly aligns with our clients' expectations
  • Hands-on support with delivering key tactics including media relations, social media, copywriting and events
  • Management and mentoring of junior members of staff within account teams
  • Managing upwards to ensure senior staff are adding value to campaigns as appropriate
  • Researching and contributing ideas to keep our campaigns at the leading-edge of industry creativity and best practice
  • Managing suppliers, including delivering briefs, managing their deadlines and ensuring the quality of results
  • Approving campaign content, as part of your responsibility for maintaining our rigorous quality control processes
  • Supporting new business pitches, including research, brainstorming and presenting to prospective clients

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • Solid experience working in a similar PR management role (not necessarily within an agency)
  • Excellent project management skills and the ability to confidently collaborate with senior members of staff (both internally and client-side)
  • Excellent written communication skills with the ability to produce accurate and engaging copy for clients including complex subject matters
  • Genuine interest in science, engineering and innovation related subjects
  • Fluency in capturing and analysing campaign performance metrics
  • Highly organised with the ability to effectively prioritise and manage your own time autonomously
  • Proactive and supportive team player, with a willingness to contribute new ideas / challenge the status quo
