Role

Purpose of Role

To spearhead a team looking after two-three accounts. You'll be an exceptional communicator, with proven track record of growing accounts. You will have a deep understanding of the need for an Account Director to be a trusted advisor to Client, understanding their business, market and drivers.

As an experienced people manager, you will have a relentless desire for developing a high performing team who deliver excellence, on brief, on budget and on time. You will have excellent communication skills, a forensic attention to detail and be able to build and maintain strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsibility for the financial growth of your account(s) including proactively identifying new business opportunities within them
  • Ensure delivery against clients' budgets, whilst maintaining margin for the agency, managing forecasting process, negotiating fees and managing invoicing
  • Own development of Account Plans for your clients
  • Deliver creative and service excellence for your clients
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients
  • Develop an in-depth knowledge of the client's business and the sector in which they operate
  • Lead and direct the strategic development of your account(s)
  • Manage your team and other resources within the agency to achieve the highest level of client service
  • Maintain and develop extensive knowledge of all aspects of marketing including new channels, trends, strategies and technologies/tools

Essential skills and attributes

  • Experience working within a fully integrated B2B marketing agency
  • Experience in planning & selling (Pan-European) marketing communication strategies
  • Experience of managing a team
  • Highly experienced at presenting ideas
  • Experience of working with technology clients
  • Think strategically and communicate these thoughts succinctly, taking a long-term view, weighing up pros and cons
  • Good creative judgment
  • Well organised with the ability to multi task and 'pool' resources to get the job done
  • Able to manage budgets and forecast effectively - maintaining margins
  • Confident and positive attitude
