We have an exciting opportunity for an Account Director to join the team to lead the growth and renewal agenda for strategic consumer accounts within the Consumer network.

We make promises to our customers, and we'll make promises to you too. The key responsibilities in this role include;

  • Establish and maintain high quality Account Plans, delivering the Customer BASICS programme across the Customer base.
  • Develop constructive relationships with key stakeholders within the Customer base, acting as a key contact and a point of escalation.
  • Continuously review business potential opportunities and look beyond current services to drive additional growth for DHL.
  • Co-ordinate the account, ensure quality of delivered services and facilitate sessions where issues arise.
  • You will be the representative of DHL in front of the customer to their whole business, connecting to all necessary people within DHL organisation (across functions and business units) and making the link with the Customer representatives to make processes, operations but also commercials efficient, smoother and better over the length of the contract.
  • Responsible for all commercial elements of the contracts; including charging, characteristics, and contractual terms.
  • Working closely with customer to create a joint account plan, focusing on their strategic objectives, and creating opportunities to widen its service offering.

  • Previous experience of working in a supply chain environment, with direct customer account management experience at a senior level.
  • Creating good customer relationships and building trust.
  • Approachable and a "people person" with the ability to engage and convince colleagues.
  • Problem solving, analytics and strong data manipulation.
  • Shows their passion, a can-do approach, whilst respecting others to achieve your targets.
  • End customer service issue resolutions with a Commercial Focus.
