As Axiom Access Rights Manager you will be in a key position, reporting into the Division Lead - Data Controls, and will operate in a matrix organization across the IDA, Global Technology, InfoSec, DPO and other control functions with responsibility for ARM / Attribute-based Access Controls (ABAC) into Axiom (AXA XL's strategic analytics platform) .

You will lead a small team of direct reports and by example demonstrate your own experience, knowledge, and determination to complete tasks and to improve the maturity and effectiveness of the team.

You will ensure a 'data-by-design' approach to capture customer data protection requirements, and work with colleagues to implement actionable data specifications. Success in the role will require proactive data enablement for IDA teams while protecting customer data assets in accordance with regulatory requirements - essentially you will deploy the principle of least privilege across Axiom.

What will your essential responsibilities include?

  • Working as part of IDA Data Controls team you will create an Access Rights Management governance function for existing business and privileged users, and looking ahead, will be central to the plans to roll-out access for external clients into Axiom.
  • You will have expert experience of assessing end-to-end business requirements, reviewing 'as-is' current state capabilities and will define a prioritized road map of 'to-be' requirements and actions.
  • You will play a central role in the definition and execution of a project to enable client access to reporting and policy data processed in Axiom. You will assess existing infrastructure and applications, and work with Global Tech, Information Security, and IDA teams stakeholders on a multi-year strategic delivery plan.
  • This role will operate transversally across all business functions, data teams, compliance functions and GT services. Therefore, a highly knowledgeable and seasoned person is required to support this business transformation program.
  • You will need strong presentation skills, in written format and ability to manage extended team meetings in person and via Teams / video conference, in today's hybrid / multilocation working environment.
  • As a subject matter expert and, and 'go-to' person for Access Rights Management across a range of initiatives in IDA, you will have the opportunity to manage stakeholder relationships at a C-Suite level.

We're looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:

  • Principal level experience in technology space, specifically for end-user client access management entitlement services.
  • Has a passion to optimize process performance to delivery business value. i.e. someone who understands that technology need effective processes.
  • Expert knowledge of NIST, TOGAF, ITIL, ISO 27k, GDPR, CIFIUS is a prerequisite for this role.
  • Expert knowledge of Cloud technologies. With proven experience leading in cloud environment.
  • Proven experience building effective data strategy during cloud migration period.
  • Proven business acumen essential, with knowledge of commercial lines insurance an advantage.
  • Experience of the '3 Lines of Defence' governance model.
  • Leading knowledge of IT security best practices for Identity and Access Management, User Access Recertification, and external client entitlement services to meet the 'rule of least privilege'.
  • Well-established experience in project management, analytical skills & continuous improvement. You will be a 'completer-finisher' tracking progress and engage key stakeholders through to completion of the task.
  • Requires a combination of strategic thinking and ability to 'connect the dots' to optimize delivery.
  • A minimum of a Bachelor or Master's degree in a relevant discipline, or relevant experience.
  • Proven leadership experience, leading large-scale projects, programs, and the hands-on experience of managing a small team of direct reports.
  • You understand the importance of data and have a passion to be part of a strategic data team. You will demonstrate ability to effectively communicate to senior stakeholders with excellent presentation, communication (in person & written format), and relationship building skills.
  • You will bring a collaborative spirit, 'can-do' attitude, and a customer-first mindset.
