Acceptance Solutions is one of four business units within Visa's Value-Added Services division. It delivers a broad suite of capabilities to support payment acceptance, including online payments processing, fraud / chargeback management, tokenization, and in-store payments. The business unit has a global footprint spanning all five of Visa's regions and brings together more than half a million merchants, banks, and tech partners.

Job Description

The Senior Manager of Strategy & Partnerships will support the Head of Acceptance Solutions Strategy who reports to the General Manager of the business unit globally. Responsibilities include commercial analysis / research, investment planning, and strategic product partner management. The Senior Manager will manage workstreams end-to-end on important strategic initiatives, and co-design / implement a scalable 'build-buy-partner' framework. The proportion of time spent on these areas will evolve as the product partnership function matures. Strong candidates are versatile team-players who learn fast and have a demonstrated track record of driving workstreams through to successful outcomes.

What we expect of you day-to-day:

• Lead workstreams / small projects related to multi-year strategy development and assessments of opportunities and risks e.g., potential acquisitions, regulatory changes
• Structure and solve business problems, collaborating and coordinating with a range of internal stakeholders to make recommendations on a wide range of business issues
• Assist with managing strategically important product partners by building out robust metrics and maintaining alignment to M&A priorities and tech development roadmap
• Communicate recommendations to senior management, other executive, functional, or regional staff and management in a clear, concise, and impactful way
• Support Acceptance Solutions' senior leadership team by developing thought leadership for internal executive meetings and presentations
• Execute research tasks and connect trends to business goals; analyse and synthesise research into consumable strategy outputs

Qualifications

Key Competencies:

• Ability to lead and manage complex workstreams or small projects independently
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; demonstrated quantitative rigor
• Attention to detail and the ability to structure and analyse financial and operational data
• Outstanding stakeholder management abilities at both senior and junior levels
• Strong executive communication skills i.e., written and oral communication
• Self-starter, team oriented, collaborative, diplomatic, and flexible, with excellent presentation skills, including strong oral and writing capabilities

What we are looking for:

• Time spent in management consulting, corporate strategy, or investment banking
• Experience in and/or significant exposure to the payments industry preferred
• Some exposure to client management / business development is a bonus
