Due to expansion in our business, Nova Systems International has an exciting permanent opportunity for aRequirements Manager/Acceptance Manager to join our consulting team, working on site with clients, at home if practical, and from an office when necessary, with an initial focus on the South of England.

The successful candidate will be confident working in programmes/projects on client sites, participating in requirements and acceptance management and be capable in project management. We're looking for someone who has experience with requirements and acceptance management within the military capability development and concepts domain. We're looking for someone who has experience with who has supported projects and programmes in the European defence sector, preferably with DE&S project management and Army or Naval aviation experience.

What you'll actually do

You'll be involved in many aspects of Programme & Project Management and consultant activities, with particular responsibilities to:

  • Contribute to project delivery and coordinate activity with client staff, Nova Systems international assets, sub-contractors, and associates to ensure on-time, on-cost and on-quality project delivery to our clients.
  • Manage, monitor and follow up scrutiny, approvals and acceptances, at different stages, with different internal and external stakeholders.
  • Act as the primary interface towards the Customers and internal stakeholders throughout the acceptance phase.
  • Apply for acceptances, monitor and follow up progress.
  • Report acceptance status and progress.
  • End to end management of acceptance documents - collect the documents, printing, copying and archiving of documents for future use.
  • Follow up and execute the contractual acceptance clauses.
  • Support Project team to carry out acceptance activities.
  • Manage Programme Board activity.
  • Coordinate project material and communications across the programme.
  • Deliver programme and project management against a defined methodology or use existing industry frameworks.
  • Deliver outcome-focussed advisory, business cases and case studies to support our customers capability development activities.

What you'll need

  • Relevant university degree, minimum Bachelors or equivalent.
  • Experience working withing complex capability development and acquisition projects in defence or another essential services domain.
  • Current UK Security Clearances, or the ability to achieve one.
  • Clear understanding of acceptance key activities.
  • 4-6 years of experience working in Programme or Project delivery.
  • Relevant PPM qualifications.
  • Strong Communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work with a wide range of people.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise workloads.
  • High level of written and verbal communication skills.
