About The Role
Responsible for: The operational running of the academy, leading the MDT of the academy, ensuring growth and progress.

- Lead and administer the technical board meetings, AMT meetings and MDT meetings
- To manage and develop good relationships and communication between academy, first team and the board.
- Ratify decisions relating to retain and release, scholarship offers and offers of professional contracts.
- Lead on the academies strategic decision making
- Work closely with the Technical Board to devise an academy recruitment policy.
- Oversee the development of academy players ensuring all players maximise their potential & develop pathways to produce 1st team players.
- Develop, implement and drive the academy performance plan.
- Support heads of departments in carrying out their managerial responsibilities
- Attend all relevant FA & Football League Meetings
- Work closely with other Heads of Department within the club
- Develop and manage the academy scouting network
- Comply with all company policies/procedures. Adhere to all company regulations regarding policies, procedures, health, safety & security
- All other duties that may arise from time to time and fall within the scope of this position
- Manage the academy budget and track all expenditure
- Lead on all audit processes to secure the academies category 3 status
About The Candidate
Essential:
Masters level degree in Coaching/Teaching/Sports Science related subject
FA Safeguarding Certificate
Sports Management related qualification
Desirable:
Coaching/Teaching/Sports Science related degree
FA Level 4 (Uefa A) in Coaching Football
Advanced Youth Award
Experience & Skills:
Experience of a senior role within a high performance environment
Prior experience working within a category 2 or 3 Academy
Ability to lead a multi-disciplinary team
Understanding of safeguarding and welfare requirements of a category 3 academy
