Role Description and Purpose

The Academies and Events Manager (AEM) is part of a team organising activities and courses around Investment Academy (training for clients), Sales Academy (training for GCG) and Global Events. It is key that the AEM keeps in mind the business priorities and goals, when completing their tasks to optimise our presence, visibility and achieve better results, maximising the return on investment. Projects may pertain to seminars, digital training courses, marketing events or on occasion support for hospitality events. The AEM should have a keen interest in Asset Management, in order to build ideas and frameworks to reach the team goals. The AEM will report directly to the Global Head of Academies and Events as part of the Content and Marketing Services Global Centre of Excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assume accountability and support for projects assigned. These may be hospitality events, Product Marketing, Investment Academy or Sales Academy
  • Deal with main stakeholders - Liaise and collaborate with the client or product teams for all activities related to the project
  • Help define course or event strategy and develop course or event framework ensuring stakeholders/sponsors and event objectives align to client or product needs
  • Define virtual environment for any digital campaign or event (this could be MS Teams, Spotme platform, Intrado, Bright Talk or other) plus the Salesforce, Stoneshot and tools around the campaign or event.
  • Planning and management of event - The AEM helps set the project deliverables, namely timeline, action and design plan, followed by a careful development of the communication plan and visual concept, event theme, content of the agenda, identification and selection of speakers and keynotes
  • Onsite or virtual preparation During each event, the AEM will support and supervise the timeline, making sure the team is fully aligned with the tasks, ensuring the plan is well delivered
  • Supervise and/or support the team assigned to the event if applicable
  • Post-event analysis The AEM will collect and analyse the KPI's of the project, review the budget and provide a summary of the event to the Global Head of Academies and Events.
  • The AEM should have a keen interest in developments in the Asset Management world: in events/ training/ market and identify opportunities, execute and/or support on transversal projects.

Key Internal / External Relationships

  • Internal:Most departments: the team plays a pivotal role in organisation of training and events, but notably: Sales, Marketing, Client Service, Investments and HR.
  • External:Global Event Agencies, venues, platforms

Role Requirements

Essential Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree level (marketing or business preferred)
  • Previous experience in a similar role gained within Asset Management
  • International experience/background would be a plus

Preferred Qualifications

  • Language proficiency in French is advantageous
