About this Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic Academic Mentor to support students in achieving their full potential through high-quality learning support and intervention. Working closely with teaching staff and the inclusion team, you will help plan and deliver structured activities for individuals and small groups, including students with additional needs, both in and out of the classroom. Your role will be key in helping students build confidence, overcome barriers to learning, and make strong academic progress.
You will play an active part in creating a positive and purposeful learning environment, using effective behaviour and engagement strategies to support students' focus and independence. Alongside this, you will contribute to monitoring progress, providing feedback, and supporting the recording of achievement, as well as assisting with reports and communication with parents and carers. Strong relationships, clear communication and a supportive approach will be central to your success in this role.
We are looking for someone with experience of working with young people in an educational setting, a good standard of English and Maths, and the ability to follow guidance while delivering structured learning activities. Most importantly, you will be passionate about helping students succeed and committed to making a real difference every day.
