M&S is undergoing a transformation and with a vision to drive 3Dproduct from concept to customer, the digital product creation team has been created to explore test and embed new tools and processes, fundamentally changing the way we develop product. The 3D Pattern Manager has a unique opportunity to shape and embed the digital workflow of the future.

We are looking for a passionate individual to join the team to drive & deliver the 3D pattern / garment development element of the digital product creation foundation for the Business and lead the team of 3D Pattern Cutters to deliver great digital product. It requires someone with relevant pattern and 3D experience and passion for process, who can develop, drive and scale up the digitisation process of 3D Garments. You will be expected to drive the team to maintain the high-quality standards for 3D garment creations in house and offshore.

To stay close to customers, our support teams are in the office three days a week as we believe that skills are developed through collaboration, and that spending time together makes us more creative and connected.

What you'll do

Your key accountabilities will include

  • Develop and drive the strategy for the 3D Garment/Pattern space, a key foundational element of Digital Product Creation and the 3D Transformation, ensuring that a robust and scalable 3D Garment Toolbox is created and maintained for use across the BUs and Suppliers.
  • Build a clear process for creating the 3D garment library, coaching the 3D pattern assistant through great line management to deliver the asset creation at pace and to a high standard.
  • Research, develop and maintain quality standards for 3D garments across all clothing categories driving one best way and proactively identifying and acting on opportunities to simplify ways of working.
  • Take the lead on conversations relating to the 3D Garment strategy and its alignment to existing and future processes within the business - e.g. block development, PLM integration/alignment - ensuring optimised workflows that deliver the appropriate business benefit and value.
  • Drive a collaborative approach with those stakeholders to support delivery of the strategy, translating the vision and ensuring they can contribute effectively. Managing challenging conversations where necessary with the ability to influence and drive towards a resolution.

Who you are

Your skills and experience will include

  • Understanding of the product creation process with a good eye for product construction and quality.
  • High knowledge of pattern cutting & 3D tools & processes (e.g. Clo3D)
  • Organised and enjoy process development, documentation and delivery at scale
  • Can work at pace in an agile environment and lean into changing priorities.
  • Solution focused and positive attitude towards challenges.
