Job Description

The Technology Risk Manager is a second line of defence (2LOD) risk management role with management responsibility for delivering Global Technology Risk Management practices.

This is hybrid role, with a base office of either London or Nottingham reporting into our Global Head of Operational Risk (2LoD)

Why this role is important to us

As a Technology Risk Manager, you will oversee and provide insight and guidance to the First Line of Defence and partners in 2LOD and Internal Audit.

What you'll need to bring to the role & Experian

  • Work with the Business to identify risks, ensuring they are escalated, and assessed, evaluating linked controls
  • Oversee technology issues to ensure they are raised where there are gaps or weaknesses in controls with robust remediation plans.

Qualifications

Work that matters - What you'll be doing

  • Influence, deliver and embed industry standard technology risk disciplines and practices,
  • Build insight of technology risk, to lead appropriate management action to improve the technology control environment.
  • Work with Technology / Security teams and the wider business to support on root cause assessments for major IT incidents.
  • Play an active role in the Global Watchtower process along with other partners to understand the threat landscape and latest technology regulation, ensuring that all insights requiring action are delivered becoming the trusted partner for technology / security functions

More about you

  • You will have solid, experience working in a technology / cyber risk management role
  • A professional qualification (CRISC, CISM or equivalent)
  • Help reduce risk and a can do approach
  • Knowledge of IT risk and control models such as COBIT.
