Bouygues UK have a challenging opportunity for 2 X Senior Site Managers to join us on our school projects based in the Harrow and Hayes area. There are two projects: one valued at £40 Million the other at £50 million. The projects will involve the demolition of existing buildings, refurbishment works and a new build, along the provision of temporary accommodation.

Job Purpose and Scope:
You will manage the daily activities of the appointed subcontractors, in respect of Health and Safety, Quality and Programme. You will also manage the costs associated with the works and any variations, should they arise. Lead weekly progress meetings and produce the required timeline of works / action points. Sub-Contractor management to ensure projects are delivered on time and compliant.

Essential

  • Forward Planning and Leadership/People Management skills
  • School build experience would be advantageous
  • Proven experience as a No 2 on site
  • Experience working with a main contractor
  • Ability to deal with design and designer issues
  • Knowledge of UK building regulations
  • Good financial control skills
  • Understanding of UK H&S construction laws and practical application
  • Stress Management.
  • High levels of quality standards
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Demonstrates strong attention to detail and produces accurate work
  • Current Black CSCS card, SMSTS minimum

Accountabilities and key tasks (not complete list):

  • Initiate per-start setup procedures including ordering site set-up, develop site wide RAMS and traffic plans, SWMP etc
  • Input into subcontract procurement including selection per-order processing and appointment
  • Responsible for quality control including the development and monitoring of quality plans
  • Assist the Project Lead in the delivery of the Project
  • To manage the daily activities of subcontractors, in respect Of Health and Safety, Quality and programme
  • Managing the costs associated with the works, and any variations should they arise in liaison with the Site Quantity Surveyors
  • Daily Liaison with the client and representatives
  • Assist with procurement of subcontractors for post completion works
  • Control of subcontractors and directly employed labour
  • Liaison with the Client and their agents
