About the Role:

Reporting to the Group Head of Digital Marketing, the Group Social Media Manager (SMM) will be the guardian of all Britvic social media channels. The primary responsibility is to leverage expertise in social media platforms and technologies to help Britvic brands maximize their social media presence, increase consumer engagement and delivery channel excellence through global recommendation and governance to markets and brand stakeholders.

 

The ideal candidate will have market leading knowledge of the local and global social media landscape to know the whole social media eco-system. You will have an understanding of various social media strategies including knowledge of paid, owned, and earned to build recommendations and advise stakeholders.  


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Sets the direction and point of view for Social Media Marketing at Britvic, working with peers to curate the long term vision.  
  2. Setting the strategic direction for paid, owned and earned recommendations including the responsibility for local optimizing advise on all paid activity across awareness, consideration and conversion. 
  3. Define and create business purposes, recommendations and channel / platform playbooks on our current social media platforms and content strategy including Facebook, Instagram, Linkedin, YouTube, Twitter, Pinterest and Tik Tok.  
  4. Collaborate with the markets to localise global recommendations and adapt playbooks to local preferences and trends including understanding cultural nuances, regional platform preferences and market trends to create engaging and effective content. 
  5. In partnership with Britvic’s internally digital studio “Infused” and local markets, develop a pipeline of test and learns to unlock local social media growth drivers. 
  6. In partnership with the Group Community and Influencer Specialist develop influencer best practice, recommendations and playbooks.
  7. Track, analyse, and report on key social media metrics, such as follower growth, engagement rate, click-through rate, and conversion rate. Provide insights and recommendations based on data to improve social media strategies and performance.

 

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:

  1. Experience of managing social media content for a major consumer brand or media company. A plus with previous experience on the target or in the industry. 
  2. Experience of creative thinking delivering inspiring and relevant content whilst managing data. 
  3. Experienced knowledge of the latest developments within social 
  4. Proven track record of executing social media strategies at a global level and leveraging data driven research/analysis to drive strategic direction, best practices and process improvements. 
  5. Proven ability to manage and develop a team on social media best practices. 
  6. Experienced Social Marketing strategic thinker consistently looking to find incremental gains and uses innovation to drive the Social Marketing agenda.
