An opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic Senior Nursing Assistant to join the team within the West of Scotland Regional Heart & Lung Interventional Cardiology ward, 2 East, at the Golden Jubilee National Hospital as part of the Interventional Cardiology service.

2 East is a busy 24 bedded acute Cardiology ward, it is a busy, demanding and rewarding department in which to work, caring for patients undergoing coronary, structural heart, adult congenital and electrophysiology procedures. In addition, we provide primary and rescue PCI for those patients with STEMI as well as in patient treatment for those with other acute coronary syndromes. This offers excellent experience and learning in dealing with these challenging acute patients and unique opportunities for learning and professional and personal development.

This vacancy demands excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Your personal qualities should include excellent organisation skills together with a positive approach and the ability to work effectively within the busy team. You should be able to demonstrate your commitment to ongoing personal and professional development and the ability to adapt to the diverse and variable demands of caring for patients within the Cath Lab Department. The successful candidates will have variable working hours.

There will also be opportunities to work across the Cath Labs and the Coronary Care Unit. ​​​​​​​
