Job summary

NHS Stockport Talking Therapies is a successful multi-disciplinary service excited with the opportunity to recruit an enthusiastic Band 8a Senior Cognitive Behavioural Therapist.

The Senior CBT practitioner will lead a team of highly skilled qualified and trainee CBT and PWP practitioners . Responsibilities include CBT governance, leading on clinical audits, provide 1:1 supervision, having oversight of supervision of supervision also offering and co-ordinating relevant CPD events.

The Senior CBT practitioner will work alongside the Clinical Lead, Service Manager, Team Managers, Data Quality Analyst and Administration Manager.

NHS Stockport Talking Therapies is a high performing service which provides innovative Primary Care Psychological Therapies using a range of evidenced based treatments for people requiring a brief psychological intervention utilising a stepped care model, in accordance with NICE guidelines.

Step 2 provides Computerised CBT and Guided Self Help. Step 3 provides CBT, EMDR, Counselling and Inter-Personal therapy.

Step 3 group offers includes

"Skills for Life group", 16-25 years.

"Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy group",

"Living well", (for clients living with a Long Term Condition).

Step 3 includes practitioners who specialise in working with Younger People and Peri-natal clients.

Step 3.5 service provision uses enhanced therapeutic offers including offers Psycho-Dynamic Therapy, Psycho Sexual Therapy, CBT, EMDR and counselling.
