The role:

To support the planning, delivery and analysis of social media campaigns for Clarins UK.

What you'll do:

Mission #1: Delivering Content and Campaigns across Social Media Channels

  • Oversee Clarins' social media platforms (TikTok, Facebook, X, Instagram, YouTube, Threads, Pinterest).
  • Develop and execute social media strategies to increase brand awareness, engagement, and following.
  • Collaborate with global and local teams to ensure alignment of brand objectives.
  • Work with the UK social media agency to deliver Clarins' UK brand identity.
  • Manage social media interaction with customers, ensuring regular touchpoints with customer service and offering training where needed.
  • Oversee the creation and implementation of a monthly content calendar to maximize campaign opportunities.
  • Partner with designers, video editors, influencers, and ambassadors to produce high-quality content across platforms.
  • Stay up-to-date with trends, new formats, platforms, and technologies.
  • Execute social sampling campaigns, competitions, and oversee prize distribution.

Mission #2: Managing the Social Media Coordinator (SMC)

  • Lead and manage the daily tasks of the Social Media Coordinator, ensuring regular feedback and guidance.
  • Review content briefs and weekly content decks for all channels, giving feedback on video content, design, and live event structures.
  • Foster the SMC's professional development through training and skill-building.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Digital, PR, Marketing) to generate creative, attention-grabbing content.
  • Provide workload support and ensure team well-being.

Mission #3: Planning Social Media and Content Campaigns

  • Collaborate with Digital, Ecommerce, Marketing, Customer Services, PR, and other key stakeholders to plan and execute social media campaigns.
  • Implement global content calendars across channels, ensuring brand consistency.
  • Plan and produce live social content (e.g., IG/FB Live) with key partners.
  • Collaborate with Ecommerce and PR teams to create influencer strategies, UGC campaigns, and event-driven content.
  • Maintain planning documents for transparent communication and collaboration with wider teams.
  • Manage product send-outs for content production and share assets with global and local stakeholders.

Mission #4: Reporting and Optimisation

  • Produce regular and ad hoc social media reports, including performance against KPIs (follower growth, engagement rates).
  • Deliver competitor analysis and distribute insights to key stakeholders.
  • Utilise TalkWalker dashboards for social listening and optimization.
  • Collate relevant content and insights for the General Manager's reports.
  • Act as the day-to-day contact for Hootsuite, TalkWalker, Social Native, and sampling fulfilment partners.

You are:

  • Creative & Detail-Oriented: You have experience in video and photo editing, producing high-quality, engaging content across various platforms.
  • Analytical: Your excellent analytical skills allow you to track and report on KPIs, ensuring data-driven decisions that enhance performance.
  • Communicative: You possess excellent oral and written communication skills, adept at conveying ideas and collaborating with both internal teams and external partners.
  • Able to bring fresh ideas to the table, translating trends into engaging social media campaigns.
  • Highly organised, with the ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

You have:

  • Proven experience 2+ years in managing multiple social media channels and developing successful social media strategies. Experience working with agencies and influencers is essential.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing, social media platforms, and emerging trends. Proficient in tools like Hootsuite, TalkWalker, and CRM platforms.
  • Prior experience managing or mentoring junior team members.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt tone to different platforms and audiences.
