Position Introduction

As a Senior Software Engineer at HALO you will play a vital role in working on HALO's newest version of Vault, our cloud-based digital asset management system. Vault streams, retrieves, cross-references, and stores audio, video, documents, and images! Having found Product Market Fit we are embarking on our enterprise scalability journey.. We are now turning our attention to expanding our event driven architecture, as the foundation for our scalable open API and building out our AI capabilities, specifically around facial and object recognition.

Day to Day Responsibilities

• Development of new features and functionality, maintenance and troubleshooting of the cloud services and applications
• Manage the software deployment and testing process, and ensure the high quality of software deliverables in a timely manner
• Active participation in Agile and DevOps process, clear understanding of the role and responsibilities
• Participate regular software code review with the team, ensure the software is well designed, scalable and highly secured from threats and vulnerability risks
• Documentation on software design, technical specifications and test plans

Qualifications

• Bachelor degrees or above in information technology, computer science, software engineering or related fields OR a minimum of 5 years' hands-on experience in Java

Skills

• Languages: Java, Javascript, MySQL
• Frameworks: Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Vue.js, React.js
• Cloud Development Experience with AWS or similar major cloud provider
• Experience with AWS, cloud services and applications development
• Strong programming skills with a primary language (e.g. Java, JavaScript)
• Familiarity of JSON & Restful API
• Knowledge in data security and encryption methodologies
• Experience with database management(e.g. MariaDB, MySQL, AWS RDS, PostgreSQL)
• Knowledge of build, test, release, IDE and issue tracking tools (e.g. Spring Boot, Eclipse, IntelliJ, VS Code, BitBucket, Git, JIRA, Docker, etc)
• Knowledge of software processes and development cycles (e.g. Agile, DevOps, CICD)
