Person specification

Qualification

Essential criteria

  • Registered nurse with current registration.
  • Educated to degree level in relevant subject.
  • Post registration critical care qualification ENB 100 or equivalent.

Desirable criteria

  • Clinical examination qualification
  • Appropriate teaching qualification (prep for mentorship, 998)
  • Possession of, or working towards MSc in Clinical Practice
  • Non-medical Prescribing course

Experience

Essential criteria

  • Significant post qualification experience within Critical Care at Band 6 or above
  • Extensive Clinical Knowledge in the management and care of the acutely ill patient
  • Evidence of Continued Professional Development.
  • Evidence and experience of teaching and mentoring staff.

Desirable criteria

  • Experience of involvement in Clinical Audit
  • Teaching and counselling skills

Skill

Essential criteria

  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Participate and promote multi- professional patient care
  • Continually update and develop the appropriate skills necessary for the delivery of care
  • Evidence of Strong Leadership skills.
  • Problem solving skills and ability to work under pressure

Desirable criteria

  • ILS or ALS

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
