What you'll do

As the Senior Manager - Cloud Architecture, at Vodafone, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, delivery and maintenance of architecture roadmaps and standards of the cloud infrastructure and services. You will play a key role in driving the adoption of cloud and API Gateway technologies and ensuring the overall effectiveness, scalability, and security of our cloud platforms

  • You will define and maintain the overall cloud architecture, including the selection of appropriate cloud and API platforms, services, and frameworks. Ensure architectural consistency across different cloud environments (public, private, hybrid).
  • You will develop and execute a comprehensive cloud strategy aligned with global Vodafone business objectives, considering factors such as scalability, cost efficiency,
  • You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement cloud infrastructure solutions and containerization.
  • You will establish robust security measures and ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations. Implement secure access controls, data encryption, vulnerability management, and incident response protocols.
  • You will build and lead a team of cloud architects and engineers. Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support to team members. Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • You will evaluate, select, and manage relationships with cloud service providers and technology vendors. Stay up to date with industry trends, new features, and emerging technologies in the cloud space.
  • You will have accountability for developing and implementing strategic decisions within the function, supporting senior leaders in the delivery of the plans to enable the achievement of the functional strategy.

Who you are

  • You will demonstrate experience within Cloud Architecture and can design, deliver, operate and optimize complex, distributed, secure and scalable architecture solutions based on cloud computing (AWS, GCP, Azure) deployed via infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation) to meet business requirements.
  • You will have experience within Automation and use of Version Control Systems (Devops tools) to ensure stable, secure and accessible solutions incorporating Agile/Dev Ops ways of working.
  • You will showcase the ability for driving a change in culture, through adoption of agile, lean practices and automation tools and looks for ways to improve collaboration between operations and development teams. Understands and applies DevSecOps.
  • You will feel comfortable incorporating secure by design principles when designing, building solutions, products and services.
  • You will act as a role model by driving own development plan, focuses on team and individual development. Builds on people's strengths and supports them to grow and develop in line with their personal and professional potential aligned to the company strategy.
  • You will demonstrate a positive outlook with an ability to find solutions and adapt to different situations with enthusiasm, persistence and passion.
