Senior Machine Learning Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Machine Learning Engineer that is both interested and capable of working with open ended problems that might span multiple disciplines from ML, Data, Backend.

What You'll Do

• Contribute to designing, building, evaluating, shipping and refining Spotify Search's products by hands-on ML development
• Collaborate with cross-functional agile team spanning user research, design, data science, product management, and engineering to build new product features that advance our mission to connect artists and fans in personalized and relevant ways
• Prototype new approaches and productionise solutions at scale for our hundreds of millions of active users
• Experimentation setup and analysis impacting hundreds of millions of users and crucial metrics

Who You Are

• You are an autonomous engineer with a strong background on breaking down ML problems
• You understand how to translate product and business goals into tech
• You have hands-on experience implementing production ML systems at scale in Java, Scala, Python or similar languages
• You are T-shaped and happy to work on all aspects of ML problems. Not only modeling, but also feature work in data pipelines, some implementation in backend systems, experimentation setup and analysis
• You care about agile software processes, data-driven development, reliability and focused experimentation
• Experience working with search and/or ranking systems in the past is plus but not a strict requirement

Where You'll Be

• You'll be based in London or Stockholm.
