Contract Type: Fixed Term for 12 months

Working Hours: 37 hours per week

Worker Type: Hybrid Worker

Salary: Starting Salary is £33,945 (Level one) rising to £36,648 (Level 4) per annum (pro rata for part-time)

Location: Humber Building, Nottingham City Council, Eastcroft Depot, Nottingham, NG2 3AH

About the Role

To assist and support the Carbon Reduction Energy Sustainability Division (CRES) in effectively delivering the diverse and exciting range of grant funded and capital programmes as part of the Carbon Reduction Projects and Policy team alongside the Midlands Net Zero Hub.

The Midlands Net Zero Hub was established in 2018 and is based within the Environment and Sustainability Division of Nottingham City Council. The MNZH is funded by the Department of Energy Security and Net Zero and covers the nine Local Enterprise Partnerships across the Midlands. This role will form part of the retrofit team and will be responsible for assisting delivery of various retrofit grant scheme projects.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

• Academic credentials in a finance related discipline or equivalent experience, which may include a professional qualification, would be desirable.

• Experience of financial management of multi million, multi partner funded projects including the aggregation and submission of financial and output evidence; Analytical and problem-solving skills, including research and investigation.

• An understanding of financial systems and applications with a working knowledge of financial spreadsheet applications and formula calculations.

• An ability to demonstrate previous project finance support experience
