The Colorectal Department at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital growing with the opportunity to have two new fellows join the team.

Person specification

Qualifications

Essential criteria

• Full GMC Registration
• FRCS or appropriate specialist qualification
• Good understanding of and adherence to the principles of Good Medical Practice set out by the General Medical Council.

Desirable criteria

• Relevant CCT or equivalent
• Entry on GMC Specialist Register

Experience

Essential criteria

• Evidence of broad based training experience in General Surgery equivalent to that required for a UK CCST
• Experience in laparoscopic resectional colorectal surgery

Knowledge

Essential criteria

• Solid understanding of the Clinical Governance Agenda
• Evidence of effective audit leading to change

Desirable criteria

• ATLS Provider
• Risk Management Course
• Evidence of significant contribution to the Clinical Governance Agenda particularly CNST preparation
