Job Purpose

As part of a small and experienced core team, the Senior Digital Performance Manager role is both hands-on and strategic and your day-to-day work will be key to delivering and shaping the future direction and growth of the business.

You will be instrumental in helping to drive and deliver the ambitious TTS organic and paid strategy and revenue targets.

Responsibilities

Working closely with the Head of Digital and Digital Performance Manager to develop and implement organic and paid search best practice, lead discussions with internal stakeholders, ensure progress and performance is reported regularly. Responsibilities include:-

Strategy Development: Develop, plan and implement data-driven organic and paid marketing strategies such as site optimisation, PPC, Google Shopping, display advertising and paid social media to drive traffic and revenue.

Campaign Management: Lead the operations of paid campaigns, including budget allocation, bid management,and ad copy creative optimisation and keyword research.

People Management: This role will have one direct report of Digital Performance manager with further support from the wider team.

Technical SEO & Audits: Conduct audits and monitor website performance and resolve any issues that affect search performance using tools such as Screaming Frog, Ahrefs and Semrush. This includes optimising site structure, improving page speed, and monitoring Core Web Vitals.

Content Optimisation: Work closely with the content, brand and product teams to ensure that content is optimised for search engines and addresses the needs of our target audience.

Performance Analysis: Use analytics tools to monitor daily campaign performance. Provide insights and recommendations for optimisation.

Management Reporting: Develop and present detailed reports on campaign performance, including ROAS, conversions, revenue and other KPIs to stakeholders.

Outreach Campaign Management: Develop and execute effective outreach and link building strategies to build effective backlink strategies and enhance domain authority and rankings.

A/B Testing: Conduct A/B testing on various campaign elements to identify the best-performing organic and paid strategies.

Trend Analysis: Keep up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in online advertising and evaluate new advertising platforms.

Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments such as brand, content, social, merchandising and product teams to ensure that paid campaigns are aligned with the company's goals.

Market and Competitor Analysis: Analyse competitor campaigns and market trends to identify opportunities and insights.

Continuous Development: Keep up to date with the latest SEO & PPC industry news, trends, best practices, search engine algorithms, and sharing knowledge with the team Management

Experience

Qualifications & Experience:

  • At least 8 years proven experience of managing organic and paid search marketing campaigns, with a track record of success (agency or in-house), preferably in a large e-commerce store environment.
  • An expert within SEO (content, technical, offsite etc) and PPC to include managing data feeds for Google Shopping
  • Highly proficient in the use of Google Ads, Bing Ads, Google Analytics, Facebook Ads Manager, Google Search Console, Merchant Centre, Ahrefs, Semrush, Excel and other data tools
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills which you are able to use to inform the communications strategy as well as your own decision making and planning
  • Exceptional understanding of web metrics and digital analytics with the ability to analyse data and provide actionable insights
  • Commercially astute and able to manage budgetary requirements necessary to form a positive ROI for the business and previous experience in commercially focused environments.
  • Experience in working with commercial finance teams, driving the digital budget and forecasts to achieve gross demand targets and growth.
  • Hyper organised and able to deliver within agreed timeframes with strong project management and presentation skills, be it verbally or physically which are suited for relevant audience.
  • At least two years experience managing a team, their workflow and assisting in their own professional development.
  • Ability to define structured plans, clear communication and foster collaboration to ensure timely delivery of work within an ambiguous, fast paced environment.
  • Strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills as relationships in and out of the business are key to the role
  • Willingness to engage in the ways of working in a large, trading-focused business with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a cross-functional and international team structure
