We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our First Derivative Data team. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned Python engineer/architect with extensive experience in designing and architecting data pipelines. This role focuses more on data engineering rather than application development, with an emphasis on building robust data analysis frameworks ideally related to quantitative research.

The essentials:

We look for individuals who are strategic, thrive in a fast-paced environment and possess a strong analytical aptitude to help solve complex business challenges.

• Proven experience as a Senior Python Engineer or Architect in a relevant field.
• Expertise in Python programming with a deep understanding of Pandas library; experience with polars is highly desirable. Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining data analysis frameworks, preferably within quantitative research or financial sectors.
• Demonstrated experience in architecting code and data pipelines.
• Familiarity with building data analysis frameworks, particularly in quantitative research.
