Senior Business Support Officer

We are looking for a Senior Business Support Officer to join our Executor Services team. The team is part of the Income Management and Financial Inclusion Service. You will work in a fast paced professional team providing support to the service who manage Appointeships on behalf of vulnerable people and also arrange burials and cremations when there is no one else to do this. The post is mainly office based with some opportunities for hybrid working.
Key skills for this role include -
- Outstanding customer service skills, over the telephone and email
- Excellent IT skills and experience of IT packages
- Strong ability to accurately input and retrieve information
- Excellent attention to detail
- You will need to be flexible, self motivated and enjoy the challenge of a busy office/home working environment
- Be professional in all aspects of your work and be confident in handling a complex and varied workload to a high standard
- Ability to be flexible, multi task and use own initiative
- Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
- Ability to work supportively within a team
- Ability to support meetings and events with diary management and minute taking

Full-time employees work 37 hours for 52 weeks of the year and we offer a generous holiday entitlement. We are open to discussions about a wide range of flexible working opportunities which benefit you and the Council, including reduced hour contracts, working part time or as a job share.
If you are appointed to this role, your starting salary will be at the bottom of the grade. If you provide payslip evidence that your basic pay is greater than the bottom of the grade, we will consider starting you at the point of minimum advantage within the grade.
