Retail Media Sales & Planning Assistant

About the roleAt the John Lewis Partnership (JLP), we have created a successful Media offering across our digital estate (website and app) which continues to evolve. JLP Insights and Media is a key enabler of profit growth across JLP and a priority for the Partnership. In order to fuel this growth, we have identified a need within the team to enhance the analysis provided to brands in post campaign analysis.

The purpose of this role is to support Retail Media planners by analysing activity booked by brands, offer insights and formulate recommendations for future initiatives. This should drive re-investment from brands and in turn contribute to achieving JLP’s ambitious profit targets.

  • Salary - £28,100 - £38,000 (dependant on experience)

  • Contract type - This position is a 12-month Secondment/Fixed Term contract from your start date.

  • Working pattern/flexible working - We know flexible working is important to you, and it is important to us too. The Partnership has adopted a hybrid working approach, meaning you'll be able to work a mixture between the office and home based upon your personal needs whilst balancing the needs of the business. The Retail Media Proposition Strategy and Development team aim for around 1-2 days a week in the office to connect and on a more ad-hoc basis to attend key meetings. 

  • Location - This role is based at our London Head Office. Please note, any cost incurred as a result of travel to the office is the responsibility of the successful candidate. There is no travel allowance for this role.

Key responsibilities 

  • Responsible for producing post campaign analysis (PCAs) for all Retail Media activations across johnlewis.com and app. This includes key moments such as Easter, Sale periods and Christmas.

  •  You will grow relationships and work across matrix teams internally including E-Commerce, sales, media and planners.

  •  Work with Retail Media Managers to provide learnings and recommendations for future brand activations.

  •  Actively perform spot checks and offer optimisation recommendations to Retail Media

  • Help Retail Media improve brand activations based on analysis gathered.

 

Essential skills/experience you’ll need 

  • Experience in creating reports showcasing key E-Commerce metrics such as conversion rate, revenue, traffic and AOV. 

  • Experience working with multiple Stakeholders internally and externally (brands or agencies).

  • Evidence in strong written and verbal communication.

  • Experience working in a collaborative environment and have a can do attitude.

Desirable skills/experience you may have 

  • Relevant experience (degree or role) in the E-Commerce/digital landscape. 

  • Proven ability to analyse campaigns and interpret data to make informed recommendations..

  • Adobe Analytics and Content Square Proficiency.

  • Strong presentation skills and ability to tell a story with data collected.
