Recovery Support Volunteer

This job is brought to you by Jobs/Redefined, the UK's leading over-50s age inclusive jobs board.

Overview

Making the decision to enter treatment can be an intimidating experience for the people we support. You can make a difference.

As a Volunteer Recovery Worker with Change Grow Live you'll work with people who use our services, helping them get to where they want to be.

Responsibilities

With this role you'll be working as part of a variety of teams, based in our Walsall Projects.

The team supports people with their or their loved ones' drug and/or alcohol issues.

No two days are the same and we treat every person who comes into our service as an individual, so being flexible, curious and a good listener are key.

We will support you in this volunteering role by ensuring that you receive regular supervision, and have someone on site who you can approach for day-to-day advice and guidance. In return for the time you give you will receive valuable training and gain experience and skills. You'll be making a real difference too.

This is what one of our Volunteer Recovery Co-ordinators/people who use our service had to say: "I am very happy with the service and my keyworkers - without the service I would be in a much worse position than I am.".

Our values are to be compassionate, open and bold. If this sounds like you we'd love to hear from you so click apply.
