Computershare are currently looking to recruit a Reconciliation Manager responsible for the reconciliation of all client held funds and assets in line with local regulations and internal policies.

Managers are expected to lead high performing teams, both onshore and offshore, to deliver high value cash management functions while maintaining financial and regulatory control.

A role you will love

The Reconciliation department forms part of the Global Financial Operations department, working alongside core Financial Ops departments such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Transactional Accounting and Billing, in servicing the wider Operational business areas delivering their services to our clients. This role is responsible for leading teams within the reconciliation function, responsible for the timely completion of cash and asset account reconciliations operated for and on behalf of our clients.

You will guarantee the highest level of compliance with all regulations across several jurisdictions while looking to evolve the team's processes through technological solutions and adhering to stakeholders SLAs.

Provide leadership and direction to immediate reports and the reconciliation function, creating an environment which achieves consistently high levels of performance, accountability, and colleague engagement.

Some other key responsibilities:

  • Manage, develop & motivate a team of up to 20 people.
  • Put in place continuous training to ensure the team have a strong and up to date knowledge base, in particular products offered and regulations.
  • Collaborate with senior key stakeholders to ensure processes and controls are adhered to and understood.
  • Engage with internal and external committees/forums, keep abreast of industry trends, and communicate with the team/department.
  • As SME, provide expert advice in field of specialism to internal and external stakeholders on a range of topics while ensuring that the departments position is represented.
  • Lead a range of projects, providing subject matter expertise and assigning resource as required.
  • Analyse reporting data to identify trends, allocate resource effectively to the teams and monitor the quality of output from supervisors.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulation and internal procedures while safeguarding the risk management and control environment.

What will you bring to the role?

Key skills required for the role include:

  • Excellent quantitative and analytical skills.
  • People management experience is a must.
  • Excellent written and interpersonal skills.
  • IOC qualification (or willingness to study & obtain qualification).
  • Strong relationship management skills, including the building of relationships with the Operational areas and key stakeholders.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Strong knowledge of the financial services industry.
  • Strong knowledge of the application of the relevant regulations (CASS, CAR).
  • An appreciation of the how the wider operational departments work, how the reconciliation department fits in and who are the key stakeholders.
  • Understanding of how the regulatory landscape impacts the company in the UK and abroad.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with second and third lines as well as external auditors.
