Salary: £70,000 - £75,000 per annum
Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time

The Role We are seeking a highly motivated Project Manager to join our team in the South East region. The successful candidate will manage the delivery of multiple civil engineering projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
This role requires strong leadership, commercial acumen, and experience in managing infrastructure or utility-based projects. You'll work closely with clients, engineers, and site teams to ensure efficient project execution while maintaining a focus on safety, quality, and performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage projects from design through to delivery and handover
  • Prepare and control project budgets, forecasts, and progress reports
  • Ensure compliance with HSE regulations and internal procedures
  • Coordinate internal teams and subcontractors to deliver works to programme
  • Produce and maintain project programmes (Primavera P6 or equivalent)
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Lead weekly project reviews and progress meetings
  • Prepare and manage Project Plans, ITPs, RAMS, procurement schedules, and QA documentation
  • Identify and mitigate project risks
  • Ensure contract compliance (NEC preferred), including Early Warnings and Compensation Events

Requirements Essential:

  • Degree or HNC in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Proven track record in Project Management within the civil engineering or infrastructure sectors
  • Experience working with NEC contract conditions
  • Proficient with Primavera P6 or similar planning tools
  • CSCS Manager's Card
  • SMSTS and NEBOSH Construction Certificate
  • Strong commercial, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
  • Knowledge of CDM regulations and best practice site safety

Desirable:

  • CEng MICE or working toward chartership
  • Understanding of JCT contracts
  • Experience with MEICA delivery
