We are looking for:

The Key Account Manager will be responsible for development of new business and managing a portfolio of existing business and customers for the Oil & Gas Solutions portfolio. Development of new business will be done by analyzing account potential; initiating, developing, and closing sales; recommending new applications and sales strategies when appropriate. Identify and secure business growth opportunities.

  • The Key Account Manager will:
  • Ensure division sales objectives are met, forecasted & aligned with Financial Objectives
  • Maintain appropriate frequency of customer contact, build and maintain effective relationships
  • Maintain strong technical knowledge of commercial and new chemistries and technologies
  • Increase overall competitive market knowledge
  • Contribute information to business strategies by evaluating current product results;
  • identify needs to be filled; monitoring competitive products activities; analyzing and relaying customer reactions.
  • Participate in influence and lobby groups effectively building relationships with key contacts
  • Identify and react to customer needs
  • Prepare and deliver effective sales and technical presentations
  • Prepare account plans, call plans, call reports, correspondence
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities with emphasis on return on investment
  • Maximize contribution margins on all product sales
  • Manage interface between customer and Novecare organization
  • Monitor competitor activity, ensuring appropriate response strategies are formulated and communicated
  • Participate and direct sales strategies for regional key accounts
  • Expense Management
  • Provide Technical consulting and training to internal and external groups

You will bring:
Education:

  • BS/BA preferred in chemical related field
  • MBA a plus

Experience:

  • 10+ years' experience in a specialty chemical company/ service company environment
  • Technical knowledge of formulation, surfactants and polymers & pplication in oilfield
  • Laboratory and field-testing background desirable
  • Experience in both sales and marketing a plus
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent project coordination and team building skills
  • Attitude of respect across all levels of organizations
  • Seeks assistance, when necessary, to build account strategies
  • Demonstrated ability to make decisions under minimum supervision; makes decisions of a complex nature within operating guidelines
