Key responsibilities
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders to support the validation programme.
• Work in partnership with a wide range of operation and technical staff.
• Provisioning, management and assurance of DQ rules and controls striving for continuous improvement in the design and deployment of DQ controls and rules.
• Produce and communicate project plans with key stakeholders both internally and externally.
• Use autonomy to undertake the functions of the role to best achieve the required outcomes within existing frameworks, policies and procedures.
• Make decisions relating to workload priorities and to advise management when unable to deliver work.
• Ensure that cost effectiveness is taken into account in service improvement projects and in the project process itself.
• Keep track of risks and issues associated with undertaking data quality projects and nonstandard validation as well as those risks and issues which the data quality agenda is intended to address.
• In partnership and collaboration as required, to identify training and development needs, to contribute to design of training and to contribute to the delivery of that training.
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with key people in other organisations and sectors to support service improvement.
• Deliver and lead service improvement activity at the trust, ensuring the correct structures are in place to deliver service improvement projects and ongoing practice.
• Contribute to the development of a culture of continuous improvement, challenging orthodoxy and the established way of doing things, promoting an evidence based approach where positive change is more welcomed than resisted.
• Ensure that service improvements are aligned with the delivery of Integrated Care Pathways.
• Maintain an up to date understanding of innovative practice in other parts of the organisation, in partner organisations and regionally, nationally and internationally.
• Responsible for the drafting of policies and procedures for sign off by the appropriate Trust level committee.
• Lead on development relating to performance and data quality within care services. To project manage specific pieces of work ensuring these are delivered within agreed timescales and financial envelope.
• To set up systems across care services to control and measure performance against data quality and performance standards.

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
