HR Manager, Work Authorization

The Work Authorization team at Amazon is a group of experienced subject matter experts who, in partnership with Legal and Risk and Compliance (R&C), works to mitigate the risks of legal non-compliance, financial penalty or reputational damage to Amazon or our employees by preventing unauthorized working across the globe.

As Manager, Work Authorization, you will act as the single threaded leader for the EMEA, MENA and APAC regions. You will leverage subject matter expertise to implement compliance controls and operational excellence to continuously reduce compliance defects in the region and ensure ongoing business developments align to legal compliance requirements. You will implement employee experience improvements when completing and adhering to Work Authorization processes to continuously improve employee sentiment. You will provide domain expert support at a strategic level to ensure business strategies, product development and technology solutions work backwards from Work Authorization legal requirements and mitigate compliance risk effectively. You will surveil for ongoing regulatory changes, business operational changes and adjust experiences, processes and mechanisms to ensure maintenance of a compliant program to prevent financial penalties, regulatory risk and law enforcement activity in each country. You will provide domain expert support to key PXT stakeholders, such as internal WA and external AET service teams, WFS, recruiters and Regional PXT Partners at a tactical level to handle engagement, training, content management, customer and legal questions, escalations and case specific support.

Key job responsibilities
•In partnership with other service owners and tech teams, develop technology roadmap to support and scale a program that is durable, sustainable, and flexible.
•Working backwards from the customer, own and design the optimal journey based on the needs of various personas.
•Define success metrics and regularly audit the program to drive compliance and service enhancements.
•As the single threaded leader, create concise narratives using data to articulate short- and long-term strategic program needs, such as in 3-year plans and OP documents, advocating for resources and funding needed, as well as business health and scope of services.
•Own, create and conduct weekly project updates and monthly business reviews with stakeholders on project updates, health, key initiatives, and future planning.
•Earn trust and influence across stakeholder teams such as Immigration, PXT, Workforce Staffing, , Internal Transfers, Risk and Compliance, Legal, and Public Policy, to create a true cross functional vision.
•Hire and develop a team of HR specialists focused on continuous program improvements and service delivery.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
- Experience in program management including strategy development and execution
- Experience in Human Resources as a Business Partner or in functional areas such as HR Programs, HR Services, or Recruiting

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience in leading large complex programs
- Knowledge of compensation/total rewards, talent management, performance management, compliance, and organization design and development
- Experience managing cross-functional projects and initiatives
