We're seeking a future team member for the role of Head of Fund Oversight to join our Trustee and Depositary team. The job role of a Head of Fund Oversight involves overseeing the day-to-day fund oversight of collective investment scheme where BNY is the trustee/depositary and ensuring that processes run smoothly and efficiently. This may include managing teams, creating and implementing strategies, and ensuring compliance with regulations and industry standards

This role is a hybrid working role and is in Edinburgh

In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:

• Leading and managing the fund oversight team within the trustee and depositary sector.
• Ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulations.
• Ensuring adherence to governance standards and control expectations
• Continuously improving the control environment.
• Delivering client reports, attending client meetings and due diligence reviews, and conducting service review meetings.
• Ensuring the UK governance structure is appropriate for business line, legal entity, and regional needs.
• Developing strategies to boost efficiency and manage costs.
• Analysing data to support decision-making.
• Collaborating with key stakeholders including EMEA depositaries, risk, compliance and senior management
• Driving feedback and improvements through self-assessment and training.

To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:

• Demonstrated experience in leadership roles for trustees and depositaries
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, capable of guiding teams through change
• Effective networking abilities
• Solid understanding of industry standards and FCA regulations
• Providing guidance and mentorship to team members by sharing best practices and offering pertinent support and development opportunities
• Strong problem-solving capabilities with strategic thinking skills
