Global Account Lead, dentsu X

Understanding the unique and often complex needs of the client's business and identifying opportunities for the Dentsu network to support them across its range of services is critical to your success. Adding value in each client connection is key to meeting their very high standards. Consistent and excellent client servicing with a focus on actions that deliver against the client's objectives is key.
You will lead and manage the client team responsible for global, regional and local stakeholders' relationships (both external at the client and internally at dentsu) - motivate them and keep them focused on the key and often rapidly changing marketing priorities, objectives and needs of the various programs you will lead.
Ultimately, consistently demonstrating excellence and managing a complex global program with high standards and staying across the wider range of activities will enable you to drive the programs forward - increasing Dentsu's share of wallet with that client.
You will need to be fully positioned to act as an extension of the clients marketing operation - they will lean on you to drive forward initiatives and rally a team of high performing individuals around common, well-structured and approved goals that are both impactful and highly measurable.
The leader will also be responsible for Quality of Service globally, best practice sharing and delivering on the aligned, collaborative media roadmap of the client. Supporting the redefining of the business to support the future growth strategy whilst ensuring the delivery of the targets through the efficient and timely mobilisation of our people and our client partners.
Extremely strong communication skills and a high level of quality are absolutely critical, as is a positive can-do mindset. Our clients are highly skilled marketing professionals and expect our standards to match or exceed their own.
This is a global role, based in London, with a particular focus on the Asia region, but with teams located across all hemispheres. A good understanding of the Asian market and a willingness to learn and get into the details is required to successfully fulfil the role.
The client is a major player in the technology sector and the account is heavily Performance focused. Whilst leading the Client the chosen candidate will need to have an excellent knowledge of Performance media.

Key responsibilities:

- Developing relationships with the most senior clients through a deep understanding of their business operation and priorities. To be viewed as a trusted partner - advisor and strategist for their business. Be an extension of the marketing leadership - a partner.
- Deep understanding of the Digital Application and Technology industry internationally and its consumers to fully grasp both the challenges and opportunities the various lines of business face.
- Co-create effective solutions with the client - leading and being pro-active. Taking the initiative and setting the agenda as an extension of the client marketing team.
- Developing the key strategic development plans - inclusive of all relevant markets and dentsu operating companies and ensuring that the global service model and collaboration between operating companies is optimal for your client's needs.
- Developing and delivering the annual business plan for the client and managing the ongoing commercial success of the client for dentsu.
- Scenario planning and identifying opportunities for growth for the client's business and our product offerings and being able to pivot / flex up or down at short notice to optimize the various programs and lines of business in a dynamic environment and client context.

- Striving for continuous improvement and consistency across all markets and in everything we do product, processes, relationship management, people and financial practices.
- Understanding client nuances and internal political dynamics of each region to lead on a global vision and strategy that is sustainable as well as performance / commercially driven.
- Expertly navigating the contract which is negotiated at the global level (under your remit). This includes effective and realistic planning to enhance the clients and dentsu business opportunities to aligned and agreed commercial targets.
- Presenting integrated offerings to clients and identifying the best solutions for the client with the interests and performance of their programs at the heart of your thinking.
- Building a best-in-class team focused on doing the best job for a client. Delivering great client satisfaction scores, brilliant basics and a proactive approach to the future.
- Putting data and technology at the heart of this client solutions and staying on top of the data, its value and the delivery of impact from our data insights.

EXPERIENCE

- Solid experience in Direct Management
- Solid experience in Account Leadership
- Global experience both Commercially and Operationally
- Very Strong Interpersonal communication - able to effectively influence and manage stakeholders across the spectrum from C-Suite to junior staff / clients.
- Solid Digital, Data and Performance skills - a strong understanding of detailed reporting infrastructure and an ability to digest, translate and communicate complex information.
- Very Strong knowledge of In-App and Digital advertising globally across Display, Social and SEM - with a solid understanding of the Asia market ecosystem and digital media landscape.
- Excellent End to End Media Planning & Activation, able to mobilise, manage, direct and evaluate with expertise under pressure and with consistent accuracy.
- High level of attention to detail and capability to get under the skin of the data and keep pace with our clients focus. Know what they know and understand how they interpret and use data.
- Ability to influence coupled with a very strong stakeholder management mindset - being able to influence, adapt and direct.
