Job Description
This role will provide the strategy, governance and process to deliver timely and meaningful financial data to support business insights and decision making across all of Corporate. The Corporate Performance Manager is responsible for the performance management and reporting for all areas of Corporate including Corporate Entities; Corporate Functions and adjacent businesses included in Corporate.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Own the Corporate financial calendar
- Determine performance reporting expectations across all areas of Corporate
- Manage the Consolidated Corporate performance analysis across all areas of Corporate including Corporate Entities; Corporate Functions and adjacent businesses
- Manage the Consolidated Corporate performance reporting requirements to senior stakeholders including QPRs; ELT and Board
- Set budget/forecast/actual process expectations including the issuance of relevant instructions
- Manage the budget/forecast/actual submissions in line with the Corporate financial calendar and relevant reporting
- Ensure high quality submissions of budget/forecast/actual figures
- Ensure monthly data is provided to Group Heads of Functions and assist with analysis by providing requested data
- Own the integrity of Corporate Function financial data in SAP including supporting cost centre structures and accrual and prepayment processes
- Own the process and data standard in SAP for Corporate Function budget/forecast/actual financial and headcount information
- Manage the preparation of tools and templates to support Corporate Function budget and forecast
- Determine and operationalise the format of Corporate Function reporting in consultation with Commercial Finance
- Collaborate with the Commercial Finance Business partners to provide relevant support for Group Corporate Functions
Qualifications
- Qualified accountant - ACA, or equivalent.
- Bachelors/Honours degree in a relevant Finance, Business, Commercial or Technical (such as Mining, Engineering, Processing, Geosciences) discipline.
- Extensive experience and demonstrated success in a similar financial position, ideally within a global organisation
- Expertise in financial and commercial dynamics of the business developed through experience of financial planning and analysis roles.
- Demonstrated understanding of the complexities of internal and external drivers and their impact on strategic decision making.
- Demonstrated timely, pragmatic and effective decision making drawing on limited inputs and sometimes incomplete information.
- Track record of executing practical initiatives to be implemented and demonstration of successful delivery and ongoing improvement
- Demonstrate competency in relevant financial systems (e.g. SAP; HFM)
- Ability to balance strategic thought with delivery of tangible business outcomes.
