Job Description

What will you be doing?

We're seeking a talented individual to join our Professional Services (PS) Marketing team in London. Helping to protect and grow the Professional Services reputation and build awareness of our services, brand and expertise. You will act as a key point of contact handling inbound media requests, crafting media releases and stories and you will activate the PS internal communications strategy, responding to our colleagues' communication needs and devising the best ways to engage them.

As Communications Manager, your responsibilities will include among others

  • Primary point of contact for day-to-day media enquiries
  • Proactively lead PR campaigns, supporting the corporate PR activity working with the Senior Corporate Communications Manager
  • Monitor, measure and report the effectiveness of our internal and external communications, drawing insights and optimising wherever possible.. Liaising with media monitoring agencies to ensure a regular flow of internal reporting on media activity with the business
  • Maintain our list of approved business media speakers, arranging media training as required.
  • Co-ordinating PR plans across internal communications where necessary to ensure colleagues are up to date.
  • Oversee the planning, creation and delivery of impactful content across our entire spectrum of internal communication channels.
  • Nurture relationships with all the relevant stakeholders, working closely with a wide range of teams and departments to understand their needs and facilitate the right messaging and content.
  • Align with our HR and Communications teams to craft messages that are fully consistent with our core company objectives and wider communications.
  • Build a state-of-the-art ecosystem of tools, channels and formats, that ultimately ensures our colleagues get the information they need, where and when they need it.
  • Provide best practice advice and examples to support leaders in crafting and delivering communications.
  • Regularly explore new ways to engage our internal communities.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have

  • Experience of handling day-to-day media enquiries and management of journalists
  • Experience of proactively leading and developing PR campaigns
  • Demonstable experience of working with media monitoring agencies, tracking and reporting on media activity
  • Demonstrable internal communications experience (ideally within a larger organisation), with a proven track record of designing and activating creative ways to bring strategy and culture to life
  • Strong written communication skills, with a particularly good deal of experience in copywriting
  • High confidence in your organisational skills, strong attention to detail and ability to balance multiple campaigns while sticking to the agreed timings
  • Experience with managing senior stakeholders, developing trusted relationships and working with colleagues across all types of teams
  • Ability to understand and empathise with our colleagues, to explore the challenges and issues they face, and how we can play a part in solving them
  • Experience in the Professional Services sector (this is an advantage, but isn't essential)
