Our roles are hybrid; however, you should be able to travel to our Edinburgh office as required or if located within a reasonable commute of Edinburgh Office then 1-3 days per week for this position. Travel will be required within UK and potentially Europe.

Today, they help customers budget and manage household finances, serve as acquisition and reward tools for businesses, and enable local authorities and third-sector organisations to disburse funds with dignity.

Tesco is proud to be the UK's largest distributor of gift cards, serving over 18 million customers across both Tesco and third-party gift card brands. It's an exciting time to join our record-breaking, award-winning Gift Card team.

We're looking for a talented Commercial Manager to lead the growth ambitions of our Gift Card business and join our dynamic Partnerships team. This role will focus on developing and implementing high-impact propositions that position gift cards as a powerful payment method.

The Role

  • Driving innovation across underdeveloped and emerging channels such as social commerce, B2C digital platforms, and retail media.
  • Expanding the gift card proposition across the Tesco Group in the UK, Ireland, and Central Europe.
  • Leading strategic initiatives that unlock new commercial opportunities and enhance customer engagement.

What you'll be doing

  • Explore, develop, and implement new customer-led propositions to drive business growth.
  • Build and present compelling business cases to secure stakeholder support and necessary resources.
  • Lead project development and delivery across the Tesco Group and external partners.
  • Collaborate effectively with partners, colleagues, and agencies to unlock new sales opportunities aligned with broader business strategies.
  • Support technical and product development for gift cards, staying informed on industry advancements to ensure Tesco remains competitive through innovation and customer-centric solutions.

We need you to have

  • Proven track record of stakeholder and partner relationship management
  • Demonstrated success in developing and delivering customer-focused propositions.
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills, with the ability to engage effectively with internal stakeholders and third-party partners.
  • A customer-centric mindset, ensuring the customer remains at the heart of all decision-making.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, with the ability to create clear, compelling documents and presentations.
