The University now seeks an Associate Head of College (External Relations) for the College of Design, Creative and Digital Industries.

A key member of the college Executive Group, the postholder will be required to bring strong and visionary academic leadership and strategic direction for the College, supporting and undertaking responsibilities for the PVC Head of College and working closely with the DVC for Global Engagement and Employability to lead and enhance the quality of, its international, employability, corporate social responsibility and external public engagement plans and achievements, both within the College and across other Colleges.

A reputable and inspiring leader, the new postholder will be focused on strategic planning, proactive development and oversight of operational management of the College's portfolio of activities. This will include driving innovation across all the College's external relations plans, and lead in the opening of new employability opportunities and international partnerships. They will work closely with School Employability and Global Engagement leads as well as with Professional Services to deliver strong experience and outcome for all the students.

A skilled communicator, with exceptional people and management skills, they will bring a track record of successful international development and partnerships, growing external professional engagement and setting up collaborations with a range of employers and demonstrable success improving TEF, KEF, REF, NSS and other measures of quality and success for the University. Prospective candidates should demonstrate the ability to think and act strategically; engage and motivate staff; and will possess a high level of analytical and administrative ability. Critically, they will evidence a passion for the College and align with the values and mission of the institution.
